Set a record for the largest caliber of domestic deep sea pipe! Tianjin steel pipe 20-inch sea pipe to help China's longest deepwater oil and gas pipeline laying completed
On June 22, in the Lingshui Sea area of Hainan Province, China's longest deep-water oil and gas pipeline, the key control project of the second phase of the "deep-water No. 1" ultra-deepwater gas field - a total length of 115.5 kilometers of 20-inch submarine long-haul pipeline was completed. This marks an important breakthrough in China's deep-water long-distance submarine pipeline construction capacity and deep-water equipment technology.
In the deep sea of nearly 1,000 meters, the 9,425 seamless sea pipes with the largest diameter in China provided by Tianjin Steel Pipe, a subsidiary of CITIC Pacific Special Steel Group, provide a hard core guarantee for China's ultra-deepwater oil and gas development equipment technology.
"Deep Sea No. 1" is the world's first 100,000-ton deep water semi-submersible production and storage platform independently developed and built by China. The second phase of the "Deep Sea No. 1" project is about 132 kilometers away from Sanya, Hainan Province, with a maximum operating water depth of nearly 1,000 meters, and proved geological reserves of natural gas of 50 billion cubic meters. After putting into operation, the peak annual output of the "deep Sea No. 1" gas field will be increased from 3 billion cubic meters to 4.5 billion cubic meters, making it an important gas source for ensuring China's energy security.
The composition of oil and gas extracted from the formation is complex, the temperature is high, the pressure is high, the conventional material of the sea pipe can not meet the production needs. To this end, the project applied the combination of "114 km deep water large-caliber seamless steel pipe +1.5 km deep water bimetallic composite pipe" for the first time in the deep water environment, and built the oil and gas transmission "aorta" of the second phase of the "Deep Sea No. 1" project, forming the longest deep-water oil and gas long dragon in China!
The Tianjin Steel Pipe joint user technical team to carry out technical research, independently completed the design, development and production of the 20-inch sea pipe, is connected to Lingshui 25-1 oil and gas area North pipeline and Yacheng 13-1 platform mixed transport sea pipe. This product is not only the first underwater tieback of the longest deep-water mixed transport sea pipe in China, but also created a new record of wall thickness of deep-sea sea pipe in China.
This time, the development of special materials with large pipe diameter and large wall thickness is the first time in China. The construction and service process of the submarine pipeline are faced with severe risks and challenges -- the submarine pipeline needs to serve on the seabed for 20 years or more. At the same time, the interior of the pipeline is subject to high temperature and pressure and fluid corrosion, and the exterior is faced with severe conditions such as waves, typhoons, internal waves, sediment migration, and geological faults. The requirements for pipeline performance, welding technology and quality are very high.
After receiving the production task in May 2022, Tianjin Steel Pipe attaches great importance to tailor-made production plans for users, and carefully organizes production, testing and other related work. In the production process, Tianjin Steel Pipe gives full play to the advantages of the world's first set of maximum caliber 508PQF unit, through the optimization of chemical composition, the adoption of high-precision rolling process and advanced heat treatment process, to meet the requirements of high strength and high toughness indicators, becoming the first domestic enterprise to successfully produce 20-inch caliber deep sea pipe, and breaking the domestic record for the largest caliber of deep sea pipe. The localization of R&D and manufacturing of the deep sea pipe was successfully realized.
