First 100-billion-square-meter gas field in Bohai

Recently, China National Offshore Oil Corporation announced that the first 100 billion square gas field in Bohai Sea - Bozhong 19-6 gas field phase I development project successfully put into operation, marking China's offshore deep complex buried hill hydrocarbon reservoir development into a new stage. The project uses high-end pipeline products independently designed and produced by Tianjin Steel Pipe Manufacturing Co., LTD., a subsidiary of CITIC Pacific Special Steel Group.
Bozhong 19-6 gas field is located in the middle of Bohai Sea with an average water depth of about 20 meters. At present, the proven geological reserves of natural gas exceed 200 billion cubic meters and the proven geological reserves of condensate exceed 200 million cubic meters. It is the first large and integrated gas field of 100 billion square meters in eastern China.
Condensate gas is a mixture of oil dissolved in natural gas under high temperature and pressure. During exploitation, it will reverse condense to light oil due to external conditions, which brings great challenges to the development and production of gas fields. In order to expand the transmission capacity, improve the recovery rate of the gas field and extend the development life of the gas field, the project adopts the ultra-high pressure circulation gas injection development scheme, which needs to transport the high pressure gas from the booster platform to the production platform through the long-distance submarine pipeline with the longest 8.6 km, and the maximum operating pressure is 50 mpa. This is the first time in China (the current operating pressure of domestic submarine pipelines is usually not more than 30 mpa), which puts forward extremely strict requirements for the design and manufacture of Tianjin steel pipe Marine pipeline products.
By communicating with the technical experts of the gas field project team for many times and relying on rich research and development experience and mature production capacity, Tianjin Steel Pipe has overcome a series of problems such as ultra-high pressure submarine pipeline material and selection design, critical structure design under complex conditions, production and manufacturing of high pressure pipelines with large wall thickness, and successfully produced two high-end steel grade pipeline products. Product performance and quality control to meet the needs of users, quality and quantity to complete the supply. At the same time, Tianjin Steel Pipe arranged technical backbone resident at the site to escort the gas field project smoothly.
The successful operation of the project has realized the comprehensive independent localization of the ultra-high pressure gas field from materials, design, process, manufacturing to construction. Tianjin Steel Pipe further consolidated its leading position in the high-end pipeline market with solid material support, and made important contributions to providing clean energy guarantee for the high-quality social and economic development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and the Bohai Rim region.
